Portland, Maine suffers no shortage of creative enterprises. The city has a high density of superb restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and independently owned shops. Among the many great finds, one of my favorites is the Portland Flea-for-All. Located in the resurgent Bayside neighborhood, Portland Flea-for-All features a variety of vendors selling vintage goods and antiques, retro furniture, and handcrafted items at affordable prices. The main floor serves as much as a gathering spot as a marketplace.
If you don’t find what you’re looking for at the Flea-for-All, go next door to Portland Architectural Salvage for a broad selection of secondhand architectural items, plumbing fixtures, and miscellaneous hardware.
