Paris markets can be hit-or-miss. That’s why I’m pleased to unveil a new tool called the Paris Market Finder in the Resources section of my website. Most markets in Paris are open only one or two days a week. Locals know by heart the days of their closest or favorite markets. But for travelers, figuring out which markets are open each day and the best timing, can be daunting. My Paris Market Finder tool can make that easier.
It’s divided into two sections: You can use the Paris Market Finder to sort the regularly occurring markets either by day-of-week OR sort them by different types of markets (flea/antiques, food, crafts, books, etc.). Whether you’re looking to find markets that are open on Sunday, for example, or to see all the weekly flea markets at a glance, the Paris Market Finder tool will help put the information at your fingertips in a jiffy.
Pair it with Markets of Paris, which is organized by arrondissement (neighborhood) and gives a description of each market. And you’re set to go…all you need to do is grab your basket. (Or buy one at the market!)
The Paris Market Finder will reside on my website as a free resource. It has taken months to develop this tool. A big shout-out to Breo Media‘s Jennifer Danker for helping to execute my vision and devising a digital tool that’s simple to use. We welcome your feedback. The city of Paris also provides useful information about markets on its website.
Another change that I’ll soon be making to my website is phasing out the RSS feed. If you haven’t already subscribed to receive posts by email, sign up now so that you don’t miss out on any content.

S’il vous plait, we will be in Paris for a short time (last week of July 2017).
I am disabled and walk with a cane. Will be at Grand Hotel Des Balcons
rue Casimir Delavigne 75006. Will there be a flea market near for me to visit?
Would consider a small neighborhood market.
You might get lucky and find a pop-up market nearby (check the links on my Resources page). OTherwise, I’d suggest the weekend flea market at Porte de Vanves in the 14th. It’s an easy one to navigate and not too far from where you’ll be staying. Happy travels!
Bonjour, I am interested in going to a rather large Brocant held in March and September of every yr outside of Paris, I think it was called Biennele or something like that. Could you send me a link to this please! I love your book!
You might be referring to La Foire de Chatou. It’s held March and September in Chatou, which is not far from Paris. It’s a good antiques fair. Here’s a link to a blogpost about it:

I also have a link to it under the Resources section of my website. Scroll down to “The Chatou Fair”:

Hello…We will be arriving in Paris on Sat. -Sept. 3 and staying in the 6th Arrondissment (Rue Dauphine).
Could you kindly recommend a nearby Flea Market (more than just food) in this area?
Thank you for your knowledge.
There might be some pop-up brocantes. To check into that, go to my Resources page https://marjorierwilliams.com/resources/ where you’ll find links. The most reliable option, and the closest to where you’re staying, is the weekend flea market at Porte de Vanves. Good luck and happy hunting!
